A gift arrived today (day 1)

Just on lunch time I set off to the post office to collect and sign for a parcel.  Oh, I can not even explain the fun I've been having since.

There was a Canon 450D inside the box, plus extra memory cards & three extra batteries.  You see; I told you there is no way to describe that feeling.

Of course I had to do the obligatory self-portrait-in-mirror as my first ever shot.

Of course it's a snap-shot, folks.  I don't know what half these buttons mean yet.

A couple of minutes later, random objects around the office became uber-exciting to focus on, inspect and play around with.

I look forward to learning more about all the technical stuff that has always evaded me.  Hoping to turn my love of the lens into some creative shots that I can happily call photography.
